The Tadrart (200 km southeast of Djanet) is located south of the Tassili N’Ajjer National Park. It features an infinite variety of sand colors, especially known for its red sand. Discover magnificent landscapes with the darkest rocks, the deepest canyons, color-changing dunes, sandstone castles, cathedral-like rock formations, gueltas, light-flooded plains, and numerous Neolithic engravings and paintings. Nights are spent camping under tents or under the stars, depending on your preference.
Arrival at the airport, greeted by our Tuareg team. Transfer to the campsite for the remainder of the night. After breakfast, departure in a 4×4 towards the Tadrart, lunch at Amais, then continue our journey to Elberdj for dinner and overnight camping.
After breakfast, we continue our journey, crossing cultural sites adorned with rock engravings and paintings along the Albaraj Valley. Next, we stop at Marcaoindi for a lunch break. In the afternoon, we resume our route towards the majestic dunes of Moluannaga, where you can admire the ergs, and finally set up camp in the heart of the Moluannaga dunes.
After breakfast, we will head towards the Cathedral Arch, making a stop to admire the engravings at Ouanazaoua. We will have lunch on-site. After a good tea, we will proceed to Inetihak to discover the orange hues.
After breakfast, we will head to Bouhdiane to visit rock paintings and engravings. We will have lunch on-site. In the afternoon, we will head towards Timerzougha to admire a magnificent sunset blended with the colors of the sand. In the evening, we will camp out.
After breakfast, we will start our journey towards a site called the Cirque. Then we will head to Ouanzouaten for lunch, where we can explore rock paintings and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon, we will head towards Ouanaher to further explore rock paintings and appreciate the scenic views. In the evening, we will camp at Ouanaher.
After breakfast, we will start our journey, crossing the Oued Indjernne and passing by a shelter adorned with rock paintings. Next, we will stop at Aimais for lunch. We will continue our route to visit the Elephant (a rock formation) and the famous engraving of ‘The Crying Cow.’ We will return to Djanet for camping and dinner at our campsite.
After breakfast, we will take a shower, then visit a museum in the city center. We will have lunch at a restaurant, after which we will visit the ancient Taghorfit castle and the souk market. Dinner at our campsite, followed by transfer to the airport.
