Ihrir Oasis

Embark on a 7 days journey to discover the wonders of Erg d’Admer and the Ihrir Oasis. Immerse yourself in Tuareg culture and the witness breathtaking sunsets from the dunes of Tadjadit.

Arrival at the airport, greeted by our Tuareg team. Transfer to the campsite for the remainder of the night. After breakfast, we will visit a museum in the city center and the market to buy something of your choice. We will have lunch in a restaurant, and then the journey begins towards the north of Djanet, departing in a 4×4 towards Tihramiouin, passing by some rock paintings at Taghin and Timghas. Dinner and overnight camping.

  After breakfast, we head to the Agzel canyon to visit Wan Aghali and admire beautiful rock paintings inside a cave. We will have lunch at the campsite. After tea, we will head towards the canyons of Tilalin-Tejlih Ikrar and Tikoubawione for dinner and overnight camping.

After breakfast, we head towards Essendilene to visit the gueltas and canyons of Essendilene. After lunch, we head towards Dider. We climb the Tin Tahra Djeli pass to reach the plateau and then continue towards the famous rock engravings at the site of Tin Teghert. Next, we head to the oasis of Ihrir and descend to Ihrir. Overnight camping on-site.

After breakfast, we visit the oasis and gueltas of Ihrir. Lunch on-site. Then, we return to the Erg of Admer and camp at Oan Aliwa to witness a magical sunrise that reminds us we are in the heart of the Tassili, one of the great open-air museums and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

After breakfast, we cross the Erg Admer; lunch next to the engraving of ‘The Crying Cow’. Overnight camping in Djanet.

After breakfast, we will take a shower, then visit the ancient Taghorfit castle. We will have lunch in a restaurant, after which we will visit a souk market. Dinner at our campsite, followed by a transfer to the airport.
